Annual Meeting in Boston

Today we are headed to Boston to perform in a concert for the Annual Meeting of the worldwide Christian Science church this Sunday at 2pm EST! In fact, we are siting at the airport right now and listening to the final audio proofs for the CD. Hooray!

We’ll be performing two songs from Soulshine: “Peace Like A River” (with Wynne Nuernberg on violin) and the title track “Soulshine”. We are scheduled to be in the 27th minute of the show. Tessa is also singing in the first act, and I’m playing on another tune at some point in the show.

Live audio will be streamed, and it appears that they’ll put it here just before 2pm EST on Sunday: http://time4thinkers.com/called-to-music.

This is a wonderful opportunity and we are extremely grateful to be part of this fantastic event! We’ll be joining talented musicians from the time4thinkers’ Weekly Musician Blog.

In addition to the concert, we are part of the music at Annual Meeting itself on Monday. We’ll be introducing a new setting for Mary Baker Eddy’s “Feed My Sheep” called Josephine, by Dr. Raymond Burkhart.

This meeting will also be streamed live at 1pm EST: http://members.christianscience.com/church/the-mother-church/annual-meeting/annual-meeting-live-june-2012/

I just listened to the recording from Sunday. Wow! Truly, the beauty you all express brings tears to my eyes. Both pieces are gorgeous. When does the CD come out? “Peace Like a River” expresses The Mother Church’s wide embrace of the whole world, God’s tender care, Her watchful eye that leaves no one out. Your music is truly a healing force in our movement that will rouse “the dormant (private) understanding”* to embrace the world in our prayers. Thank you! Thank you!
